On February 14, 2019, in Cau Da Port in Vung Tau City, Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province, the Phu Quoc Express Joint-Stock Company inaugurated the operation of the two-body high-speed boat named Con Dao Express 36. On February 15, 2019, the Con Dao Express 36 officially begin serving passengers who travel in the Vung Tau – Con Dao routes.

It is the largest two-body high-speed boat in Vietnam that is 47m long, 12m wide, and with the capacity of 598 passengers. The speedboat is equipped with four Roll – Royce MTU machines that can reach the maximum speed of 35 sea miles/hour (equivalent to 60km/hour). With this speed, it only takes three hours from Vung Tau to Con Dao and vice versa, instead of the 13-hour slow boats. So you see, the Vung Tau Con Dao speedboat 36 cuts the travel time from 13 hours to 3 hours only.

This super speedboat is scheduled to depart from Cau Da Port (Vung Tau City) to Ben Dam Port (Con Dao Island) at 08:00 AM and return at 1:30 PM on the same day.
